ScotRail is reminding customers travelling to TRNSMT Festival this weekend to plan ahead, allow extra time for their journey, and buy tickets before travelling.
The festival gets underway today (Friday, 19 June) at Glasgow Green and runs until Sunday, 21 June, with thousands of music fans expected to travel to and from the event by rail.
To help customers get to and from the festival, ScotRail is adding extra carriages to services in and out of Glasgow throughout the weekend, alongside additional late-night trains on key routes after the music finishes each night.
Customers travelling to Glasgow Green can use five nearby stations – Bridgeton, High Street, Glasgow Central, Glasgow Queen Street, and Argyle Street – all within around a 20-minute walk of the festival site.
Festivalgoers are encouraged to check their journey before travelling and leave extra time for their journey.
TRNSMT will also be showing Scotland’s World Cup match against Morocco on big screens tonight, with kick-off at 23.00, after headline act Richard Ashcroft performs.
Customers planning to travel by train should be aware that the additional late-night services are in place to support journeys after the music finishes. There are no trains available after the end of the football match.
Anyone staying to watch the full game should make alternative travel arrangements.

“TRNSMT is one of Scotland’s biggest music festivals, and we’re ready to help thousands of people travel to and from Glasgow Green this weekend.
“We’ve added extra carriages and additional late-night services to help customers get home after the music finishes each night.
“We also want customers attending on Friday to be aware that while Scotland’s World Cup match against Morocco will be shown at the festival after the music, the additional trains are scheduled around the end of the music and not the football.
“Our advice is to check your journey before travelling, buy your ticket before you board the train, and know your last train home before heading to the festival.”
