Calvin Harris fans are being reminded they will have additional ScotRail services to take them to see the superstar DJ and producer at his two homecoming shows in Glasgow this weekend.

The ‘We Found Love’ star is appearing at Barclays Hampden tomorrow (Saturday, 1 August) and Sunday, 2 August, with doors opening at 17.00 for both gigs.

Additional services will be operating between Glasgow Central and Mount Florida station, around a five-minute walk from the national football stadium, before and after the shows.

ScotRail is operating a queuing system on the concourse at Central, which is fully operational after the fire on Union Street in March, so customers are encouraged to leave plenty of time for their journey and follow instructions from station staff.

Customers are also reminded they need to purchase their tickets before boarding. Tickets are available in advance through the ScotRail app, website, ticket offices, and self-service ticket machines.

After the concerts, fans should head back to Mount Florida as quickly as possible and join the queue on Florida Street, which is accessed via Cathkinview Road. All other roads leading to the station will be closed to concert traffic.

To keep things moving efficiently, Cathcart station is a good option for customers travelling home via Neilston, and people heading to stations via Newton should use Kings Park station.

Because the concerts coincide with the final weekend of Commonwealth Games Glasgow 2026, thousands of extra people will be travelling to venues across the city and trains and stations in and around Glasgow will be busier than normal.

ScotRail will have extra staff at key stations to help customers and keep journeys moving as smoothly as possible.

Phil Campbell, ScotRail Customer Operations Director, said:

“Saturday and Sunday will be fantastic for Glasgow with Scottish superstar DJ Calvin Harris playing two massive gigs at the national stadium, and the final weekend of the 2026 Commonwealth Games.

“ScotRail is ready for the weekend, and we will be running additional services between Glasgow Central and Mount Florida for Calvin Harris fans, with extra carriages in place for Games’ spectators.

“Expect our trains and stations to be busier than normal, so please leave plenty of time for your journey.

“Remember to buy your return ticket in advance through the ScotRail app and follow the instructions of our staff so everyone keeps moving safely.”
