Views are being sought on plans for new public space, including a civic square, near to the River Clyde in Govan.
The development of the University of Glasgow’s health and innovation campus will provide an opportunity to create “several areas for the public to use”, according to the city council.
These include new access to the River Clyde and a civic square — and the council wants to know “what you would like to see in these places”.
It is working on a proposed ‘masterplan consent area’ (MCA) to “provide development parameters for the establishment of a health and innovation campus” on vacant sites at Govan Road, Holmfauld Road and Linthouse Road.
A drop-in event will be held between 3pm and 7pm next Thursday (February 26) in Linthouse Housing Association offices at 1 Cressy Street.
The Clyde Waterfront Innovation Campus is expected to be a centre of excellence for a range of new technologies, including nanotechnology and precision medicine.
MCA schemes allow planning authorities, like the council, to take a leadership role in the development process. It is hoped this can provide a coordinated approach to consenting projects, so that a developer can quickly start building.
