Rapidly‑growing Lanarkshire accountancy and business advisory firm Accountants Plus has reached a major milestone in its transformation journey with the establishment of a new headquarters building in Motherwell’s Airbles Road a highly visible symbol of the firm’s sustained commercial success and future ambition.

The move follows a period of exceptional growth, with annual fee income increasing almost four‑fold in seven years from around £750,000 in 2019 to £3m in 2026 and a projection of £4m in 2027.

Founded in 2001 as a one‑person practice by senior partner, Bryan Wood, Accountants Plus now employs more than 35 professional and support staff, serves over 1,000 clients across Scotland and delivers a broad and increasingly sophisticated range of advisory services.

The new headquarters – a landmark 18,000 sq ft, three‑storey building – has been secured and developed as part of the firm’s five‑year transformation business plan, providing the infrastructure, visibility and professional environment required to support continued expansion.

Mr Wood said: “This building is a milestone, not a starting point. It is a tangible marker of the progress we have made since our founding in 2001 and a clear signal of where Accountants Plus is going.

“Our growth has been driven by trusted client relationships, broadening technical capability and consistently high standards. The new headquarters gives us the space, flexibility and profile needed to continue delivering that success over the long term.”

Accountants Plus currently occupies the entire 6000 square foot second floor, which has been fitted out as a modern, collaborative workspace for its expanding team.

Described as a Centre of Financial Excellence, the firm provides integrated accountancy, audit, tax, VAT, payroll, and financial information systems, while tenant partners AP Wealth provides independent financial advice, Robb Advisory offers insolvency services, and BC Technologies delivers IT and automation services.

The building has been deliberately designed to balance client experience, team wellbeing and future scalability. A private on‑site gym facility has been created on the ground floor for the exclusive use of Accountants Plus staff and tenants, reinforcing the firm’s commitment to attracting and retaining high‑calibre professionals.

And though the Firm plans over the medium-term to occupy the 6000 square foot first floor as a result of the steady expansion of its audit team, it is currently fully vacant and can be configured as four separate self‑contained units, offering flexibility for single or multiple occupiers.

On the ground floor, two units are already let, while one unit, measuring just over 1,650 sq ft, remains available.

Mr Wood added: “We see this building as a destination for professional excellence. Alongside accommodating our own growth, we are pleased to offer high‑quality space to businesses that share similar values and standards, creating a genuinely collaborative professional environment.”
