The Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice in Bellahouston Park is hosting its first ever Dog Dash, asking dog owners from across the city to get involved.

The hospice is inviting people to take part in the hospice Dog Dash on Sunday 1 February at 10.30am. Precious pooches and their owners will take part in a sponsored 5k within Bellahouston Park, starting and finishing at the hospice.

Describing the Dog Dash as a ‘pawsome community event, Community Fundraising Manager, David Walker, said:

“This is going to be a fun event for dog owners to come together, socialise with each other while helping to raise vital funds for the hospice.

“And even better, anyone who raises more than £50 in sponsorship gets a coveted branded dog bandana.

“We’re looking forward to meeting supporters, new and existing, for this ‘pawsome’ community event.”

Every year the hospice provides compassionate care to 1200 new patients and their families, free of charge. This care, however, comes at a cost with the hospice needing to fundraise £7miilion each year to keep on caring.

People can sign up for the Dog Dash at www.princeandprincessofwaleshospice.org.uk/hospice-dog-dash for only £10 per dog.
