The Summer Sessions, with top international and Scottish acts, returns to Glasgow this week, and ScotRail is ready to help thousands of fans travel to the shows and enjoy the music.
The annual event takes place at Bellahouston Park on six dates between Saturday, 27 June and Saturday, 4 July, with headliners including The Proclaimers, The Lumineers, Teddy Swims, KT Tunstall, Alanis Morrisette, Pitbull, Kings of Leon, and My Chemical Romance all set to perform to crowds of up to 35,000 people.
To help customers get to and from the gigs, ScotRail is adding extra carriages to trains on the Paisley Canal route, as well as additional shuttle services between Dumbreck and Glasgow Central.
From 22.00 each night of the festival, buses will replace trains between Glasgow Central and Paisley Canal. This will allow special train services to run between Dumbreck and Glasgow Central only, to get fans home after the music.
Due to road closures and event restrictions, the buses will not serve Dumbreck or Corkerhill.
Queuing systems may be in place at Glasgow Central before the event each day. Customers should be aware that they may not be able to board their first train of choice, and anyone going to the event is encouraged to plan their journey in advance and allow extra time for travel.
A queuing system will be in place at Dumbreck station – the closest station to the park – and there will be extra staff at key stations to assist customers.

“This year’s Summer Sessions has another fantastic line up, and we’re really looking forward to helping music lovers travel to see their favourite artists.
“To support travel, we’ll be adding lots of extra services over the six-day event and thousands of extra seats.
“Customers can help make their journey run smoothly by planning ahead, allowing extra time for travel, and buying their return tickets to Dumbreck before they board the train.
“We’d ask anyone travelling home by train to be mindful of our neighbours when you’re making your way back to the station.”
