TRNSMT Festival

ScotRail is encouraging music fans to travel by train to TRNSMT Festival in Glasgow this weekend, with additional carriages and late-night services in place to help customers get to and from the event.
The festival returns to Glasgow Green from Friday, 19 June to Sunday, 21 June, and ScotRail is adding extra carriages to services in and out of Glasgow throughout the weekend to help keep people moving.
Glasgow Green can be accessed from five stations, all within a 20-minute walk – Bridgeton, High Street, Glasgow Central, Glasgow Queen Street, and Argyle Street.
To support customers travelling home after the music ends each night, additional late-night services will operate on key routes, including:
– Glasgow Queen Street High Level to Edinburgh Waverley via Falkirk High.
– Glasgow Central to East Kilbride.
– Glasgow Central to Ayr (Saturday and Sunday).
– Argyle Street to Motherwell.
– Bridgeton to Garscadden.
There will also be changes to some late-night services, including later departures from Glasgow Queen Street to Perth, and extensions on some Helensburgh services towards Bathgate and Edinburgh.
On Friday night, TRNSMT will also be showing Scotland’s World Cup match against Morocco on big screens, with kick-off at 11.00pm following the music programme, headlined by Richard Ashcroft.
Customers planning to travel by train should be aware that the additional late-night services are in place to support journeys after the music finishes. There will be no trains available after the end of the football match.
Anyone staying to watch the full game should make alternative travel arrangements.
Customers are being reminded to plan ahead, allow extra time for travel, and buy tickets in advance via the ScotRail app, website, or at a self-service ticket machine to help make their journey as seamless as possible.

“TRNSMT is one of Scotland’s biggest music events, and we’re looking forward to playing our part in helping music fans get to and from Glasgow Green as smoothly as possible.
“We’re adding extra carriages to trains throughout the weekend and operating additional late-night services on key routes to support customers travelling home after the music ends each night.
“On Friday night, Scotland’s World Cup match against Morocco will also be shown at the festival after the headline act. It’s important that customers know that extra trains are in place after the music finishes.
“Anyone staying to watch the football, should check the last train times and make alternative arrangements where necessary.
“Our advice is to plan ahead, buy your tickets before you travel, and leave plenty of time to get to the station, particularly after the music ends each night.”
