The Student Loans Company (SLC) is helping to develop the next generation of technology, data and business professionals as it opens applications for its Autumn 2026 Graduate Programme.
The organisation which employs more than 3000 people across four UK sites, including Glasgow, is now offering a number of opportunities for graduates to join a two-year rotational programme designed to build skills and experience.
Starting in October 2026, successful applicants will spend 24 months gaining hands-on experience within one of six key business areas, including Customer Operations (within the Organisational Optimisation, Enablement and Knowledge team), Data Centre of Excellence; Economic Crime Unit; Cyber Security and Software Delivery.

He said: “During the two-year programme, I rotated through areas within the Project Management Office.I was given responsibility to lead pieces on key pieces of work including facilitating workshops, producing reports, and managing budgets. Having so many opportunities to gain trust and build my confidence was the best part of the programme for me.
“SLC’s Graduate Programme is fantastic. If you grab every opportunity, you’ll be rewarded with greater responsibility and more chances to learn.The support from leadership and peers with my career development was incredible, and I’m so grateful to everyone who helped me along the way.”
The programme is structured to ensure graduates gain exposure to critical business projects and develop their skills through both workplace learning and structured modules. Participants will be supported throughout by experienced colleagues and dedicated mentors, helping them build confidence and progress quickly.
