ScotRail is encouraging Take That fans to ‘roll up, roll up’ by train when the band’s Circus Live tour comes to Glasgow this weekend, with extra services confirmed.
The band is playing Barclays Hampden on Friday, 12 and Saturday, 13 June, with thousands of fans expected to travel to the southside of Glasgow for the two shows.
To help customers get to and from the gigs, ScotRail is running more services between Glasgow Central and Mount Florida before and after the shows, plus longer trains, and an additional late-night service from Glasgow Queen Street to Edinburgh Waverley after the concert each night.
Mount Florida is the closest station to the stadium, around a five-minute walk, and customers are encouraged to travel early and allow extra time for their journey.
Customers are being reminded that the Gordon Street and Union Street entrances to Glasgow Central remain unavailable.
Those travelling to the concerts, or via Mount Florida, should enter Glasgow Central via the Carriage Drive entrance off Hope Street, where a queuing system will be in place to help customers board trains safely and efficiently.
Regular customers travelling on Friday evening should be aware that services through Mount Florida will be busier than usual as fans make their way to Hampden.
Customers are required to have their tickets for travel before boarding. It Only Takes a Minute to buy tickets which are available in advance through the ScotRail app, website, ticket offices, or self-service ticket machines.
To help everyone get home as safely and smoothly as possible, fans are asked to head back to Mount Florida station promptly and join the queue on Florida Street, accessed via Cathkinview Road. All other roads leading to the station will be closed to concert traffic.
ScotRail will have extra staff on hand to support and help everyone’s journey go smoothly.

“Mount Florida station is only a short walk from the stadium, making travel by train one of the easiest and most convenient ways to get to the concerts.
“We’ll be adding more seats and extra services, including extra late-night trains, to help customers travel to and home from the event.
“They’re sellout shows, so we’re asking fans to plan ahead, allow extra time for travel, and buy their return tickets in advance.
“We’re grateful for everyone’s Patience while our staff help customers board safely.”
