ScotRail will help thousands of music fans ‘Get Ready for the Weekend’ as they travel to see Calvin Harris perform two huge homecoming shows in Glasgow.
The Scottish DJ and producer will take to the stage at Barclays Hampden on Saturday, 1 August and Sunday, 2 August, with doors opening at 17.00 on both days.
To assist fans travel to and from the concerts, ScotRail will operate additional services and provide more seats between Glasgow Central and Mount Florida before and after both shows.
Barclays Hampden is around a five-minute walk from Mount Florida station, and customers are encouraged to travel early and allow plenty of time for their journey.
Glasgow Central is now fully reopened following the fire on Union Street earlier this year, with all entrances and the whole station concourse available to customers.
A queuing system will be in place on the concourse at Glasgow Central for customers travelling to Mount Florida before the concerts. Customers should follow the instructions of ScotRail staff, who will help everyone board trains safely and efficiently.
Customers are required to have their tickets for travel before boarding. Tickets are available in advance through the ScotRail app, website, ticket offices, and self-service ticket machines.
To get home as safely and smoothly as possible, fans are asked to head back to Mount Florida station promptly and join the queue on Florida Street, accessed via Cathkinview Road. All other roads leading to the station will be closed to concert traffic.
To manage the flow of customers and reduce the need to queue, customers travelling home to stations via Neilston should consider using Cathcart station. Customers heading to stations via Newton should use Kings Park.
The concerts coincide with the final weekend of the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games, which conclude on Sunday, 2 August.
With thousands of spectators continuing to travel between venues across the city, customers should be aware that trains and stations in and around Glasgow are likely to be busier than normal throughout the weekend.
ScotRail will have extra staff on hand at key stations to support customers and help journeys run as smoothly as possible.

“Calvin Harris’s return to Hampden is set to make for a fantastic weekend of live music in Glasgow, and we’re looking forward to helping fans travel to and from both shows.
“We’ll be running additional services and providing more seats between Glasgow Central and Mount Florida, but trains and stations will be busier than usual, particularly with the Commonwealth Games also reaching its final weekend.
“Glasgow Central is now fully reopened, with customers able to access the station through all entrances. A queuing system will be in place on the concourse before the concerts, so please follow the instructions of our staff so everyone keeps moving safely.
“Our advice is to travel early, allow extra time for your journey, and buy your return ticket in advance through the ScotRail app.”
